AUTODESK 3DS MAX - MODELING AND TEXTURES

General description

This three-day training introduces key modeling and texutres intermediate techniques using 3ds Max. The format of the class presents periods of theory, demonstration and supervised practice alternately.

Audience

The course is designed for computer graphics professionals working in various fields such as video games, film and TV, architecture and conceptual design who wish to incorporate 3ds max in their creative process.

Course Objectives

At the end of the Autodesk 3ds Max - Modeling and Textures training, the participant will be able to :

  • Optimize a scene while keeping the image quality, using modeling techniques, textures and lighting
  • Choose the best modeling method
  • Optimize textures unwrap
  • Evaluate modeling production time

Prerequisites

Having completed the 3ds Max Essentials training or equivalent knowledge and/or experience.

Course themes

This session features : Box modeling, Spline modeling, Patch modeling, textures, materials editor, UVW/Unwrapp, normal mapping, displacement maps, ambient occlusion, Pelt mapping, optimal texture workflow, Bake to texture, Light maps.

Course structure

Discussions and presentations of real-life case scenario will allow the group to exchange ideas on the featured concepts. Hands-on exercises will allow the participants to master the tools and exchange their experiences.
