About the speaker, Sébastien Bergeron
After he graduated from the Arts & Medias Technology program in 1997, Sébastien started his career at Hybride, a reputable company. His creative talent allowed him to work as a 2D artist on several commercials and films before his indisputable leadership quickly granted him the occasion to lead large-scale projects as a FVX supervisor. In 2004, Sébastien went west and co-founded Anthem Visual FX in the Gastown historical area in Downtown Vancouver. The success of this new "fx boutique" is instantaneous and its reputation goes beyond the Canadian borders: five years after its creation, Anthem counts five nominations at the prestigious Emmy Awards of Los Angeles, two nominations at the Visual FX Society Awards and one nomination at the Gemini Awards of Toronto and the studio also received two Leo Awards.
As vice-president and VFX supervisor, Sébastien possesses a passion for challenges and a consuming desire to put technology into the service of the creative genius of his team of artists.
