Research and Development at the NAD Centre
Founded in 1992, the National Animation and Design Centre is one of the pioneers in computer graphics training in Canada. In a limited partnership with the Cégep de Jonquière and the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), the NAD Centre's unique structure allows for great flexibility, which has manifested itself in concrete achievements over the years. From the development of tools and Softimage software training methodologies in the beginning, and from the implementation of a distance-training program in 2004, to the development of an applied research program in 2008, the NAD Centre has always placed its experience to serve innovation. The Centre plays a significant role within the film, television and video game industries and maintains close ties with industry leaders.
