DESCRIPTION
Created in 1992, Centre NAD (NATIONAL ANIMATION AND DESIGN CENTER) opened its doors in Montreal, launching one of Canada's major training centres for new technologies and new media. From the very start, it offered innovative and comprehensive training programs, beginning with 3D Animation, and adding Canada's first gaming design program to its roster in 1997. Since September 2010, Centre NAD offers the only professional bachelor degree in 3D animation and digital design as well as offering an extensive consultation, R&D and training services to industry partners in Canada, as well as internationally.
Centre NAD is also the home of the annual ELITE expert convention in animation, VFX and video games. A joint venture between the Cegep de Jonquière and Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), our institution has graduated more than 1500 CGI professionals who currently work in the film/television post-production and gaming industries for renowned companies around the world such as: Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Behavior, Bioware, ILM, Digital Dimension, CAE, Groupe Image Buzz, Beenox-Activision, etc.
