In 1992, THE NATIONAL ANIMATION AND DESIGN CENTRE, a self-financed subsidiary of the Cégep de Jonquière, opened its doors in Montreal launching one of Canada's major training centres for new technologies and new media. The NAD Centre offered from the start innovative and comprehensive training programs, as the first in the country to open video game training and the first in the world to teach Softimage softwares.
Since its inception the Centre has trained more than 1500 CGI professionals who presently work in the film/television post-production and gaming industries.
It now enjoys an international renown, welcoming each year students from countries like France, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Serbia, Brazil, Gabon, Mexico, Guyana, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Colombia and China.
Guided Tours
Guided tours of the Centre's facilities are scheduled every month generally scheduled on Thursdays. The visits (about 90 min. long), are hosted by the Students Services that guide you around and answer any questions you may have about our long-term programs.
The next scheduled visits (in French) will take place on the following Thursdays from 5:00pm to 6:30pm:
- 6th October
- 20th October
- 27th October
