Studying in the Parc-Extension neighborhood

The NAD Centre is located in front of the Parc metro station (blue line) and in front of the old Jean-Talon train station. This historical building used to be Canada's railway centre; today, it houses one of the nicest SAQ flagship stores. The NAD centre occupies the entire 3rd floor of 405 Ogilvy Avenue, which represents a 23,000 sq. ft. space.

A multicultural neighbourhood...

A borough with a multicultural feel, Parc-Extension has long been known as Montreal's Greek neighbourhood. At the heart of multiethnic Montreal, on Jean-Talon, one can find excellent Greek restaurants. It is also possible to taste authentic Indian and Pakistani cuisine on a small budget!

Just a 15-minute walk from the NAD Centre, one can enjoy the restaurants of Little Italy and of the Jean-Talon market. Open year round, this market allows one to buy local fruit and vegetables, discover local Quebec products or simply snack on a delicious sandwich accompanied by a freshly ground coffee. Also in front of the NAD Centre is a Loblaws for daily or weekly grocery shopping, an Italian café, a McDonald's and a Tim Hortons.

Easily accessible

The Parc-Extension neighbourhood owes its name to the train station, which long ago, used to give access to an area that was considered to be an extension of Parc Avenue. Close by to several important streets such as Saint-Laurent, Saint Denis and Jean-Talon, the NAD Centre is thus extremely well located. The neighbourhood also benefits from a well-established public transportation system. Whether you take the metro, bus or even the train, NAD Centre is never too far and only 20 minutes away by metro from Berri-UQAM. Those students who drive to the NAD Centre can use the exterior parking lot right outside the building.

Sports and Leisure

Whether you wish to swim at the St-Roch pool, play tennis at Jarry Park, borrow a book from a library or even attend a show at the Villeray—Saint-Michel—Parc-Extension cultural centre, you may take advantage of the neighbourhood's world renowned sports facilities, magnificent green spaces and dynamic and avant-gardist cultural centres.
